The Slow, Canggu

This hotel is one of the very few that do what they preach, they promote a slow/minimalist style approach to living which is evident in the way their entire hotel is designed. Wither uber cool interiors which include minimally designed furniture is just a part of what makes this hotel so intriguing. They have started with a no plastic use policy and provide all their water/snacks and other beverages to hotel guests in reusable glass bottles to avoid any plastic use. Their sustainable approach not only applies to their hotel but their bar and restaurant too. I love this hotel, I recommend anyone who loves minimalism and likes the idea of a slower approach to living to check it out for themselves.

 Hanging Gardens, Ubud

This hotel makes you gasp the moment you enter the property, with it’s picturesque pools with perfect nature view over looking the jungle you can’t help but fall in love with the place. It’s lush jungle setting makes it the perfect back drop for the ultimate relaxation getaway for anyone seeking a more secluded experince and to reconnect with nature. The hotel is about 40 mins out from Ubud Central town so it isn’t the easiest of places to get to however it ensures you are away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town centre. The hotel is designed and built with sustainability in mind using mostly local materials in it’s construction. The hotel also receives visits from it’s friendly neighbours, the monkeys. You can spot families of them checking out the villas on site and you might just get lucky enough to spot some during your stay.
